Florence Besse



Institut de Biologie Valrose, Axon morphogenesis and local RNA regulation in Drosophila, Nice, France

Florence Besse received her Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology in 2002 from the University Paris 7, France. She then joined Anne Ephrussi’s group at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany as a postdoctoral researcher, then Staff Scientist. In 2009, she launched her group at the Institute of Biology Valrose (iBV), Nice, France. Her laboratory studies the mechanisms of mRNA transport and translation in neurons.
